Greater Evansville Music Teachers Association

If you are interested in professional development, the Greater Evansville Music Teachers Association (GEMTA) is the place for you!

GEMTA has a full calendar of events planned for the 2010-2011 season, and you won’t want to miss any of them.  We will spend time in round-table discussions.  We will feature our own local teachers.  And we will bring in some exciting guests.  Throughout the year we will host a piano contest, provide opportunities for local and state competition, and audition for camp and college scholarships.

We have a local-only membership option.  If you are only interested in local events, such as our meetings and the KEY contest, we are providing a lower-cost local membership.  With the GEMTA membership you will be able to enter students in the KEY contest without additional student fees.  You may also participate in the college & camp scholarship auditions, as an active GEMTA member.  Download a local membership form here.  Of course, there are wonderful benefits of being a full member of the local, state, and national organization -- Hoosier Auditions, state & national publications and conference opportunities, certifications and more!
